What is your process for a bridal hair and makeup trial?

During the trial, we discuss and experiment with different looks to find the one that best suits you. We take detailed notes and photos to ensure we can replicate the chosen style perfectly on your wedding day. Who needs to have a make-up trial? As a bride it is really important to have a wedding make-up and hair trial before the big day. This is the ideal time for us to try and test ideas you may have well in advance of your wedding day. You are welcome to bring along any magazine pictures you like, Pinterest boards, pictures of your dress/bridsmaids dresses, flowers and jewellery, together with any swatches and samples you may have too. This will give me an idea of your theme and I can then put together an idea to compliment everything, giving you a clean and continuous look for the whole day. Makeup and hair trials usually take around 2-3 hours, therefore I trial only for the bride. I am happy to discuss ideas and styles for any extra wedding party members who wish to have makeup and hair done too. Our main goal is to enhance your beauty and make you look and feel incredible. Creating your perfect look at a wedding trial means that on your wedding day you can just sit back and enjoy the experience of being pampered, knowing that your make-up and hair will be exactly what you want it to be.

What brands of cosmetics do you use?

We use a range of premium brand cosmetics known for their quality and longevity. These brands are chosen for their ability to create flawless looks that last throughout the day. all of the cosmetics I use are ones that I have researched, tried and tested and I know are going to last all day, look amazing and photograph beautifully. Nars, Mac, Armani, Illamasqua, Inglot, Charles Fox, stilla and Urban Decay are just some of the brands I stock in my kit. Some of my vegan cosmetics include Elf, B cosmetics, Milani and The ordinary. Cruelty free brands include Charlotte Tilbury, Stilla, Urban Decay and Illamasqua. What hair products do you use? I work using mainly a corriolis wand and or ghd's to style hair. I protect the hair using various heat protection, moose or spray dependant on your hair type. I use mainly Loreal, Bumble and Bumble and Bed head brands. Once again all of my products have been tried and tested for longevity and to suit different hair types and styles.

Why does bridal Hair & make-up cost more than bridesmaid hair and make-up?

Firstly we'll be in touch a fair bit via e-mail and or phonecall prior to your wedding date so bridal cost also covers the time spent doing this as well as my kit and insurance costs. I also spend at least 2 hours with my brides at their trials and an hour on their wedding day so in total the bride has around 3 hours of consulation and make-up time whereas anyone elses' make-up is around 45 mins. I have also lost count of the number of brides I've helped into wedding dresses, veils I've put in(when I am booked just for makeup), button holes I've pinned etc etc. Your wedding day is all about you and you'll receive a premium service and be made to feel extra special!

What areas do you cover?

I am booked for weddings across the UK and am more than happy to travel but I am predominantly based in the Midlands and the following are areas in which I work regularly: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Leamington spa, Loughborough, Warwick, Northampton, Birmingham, Nottingham, Oakham and Rutland and surrounding areas.

Do you include lash application in your makeup services?

Yes, both individual and strip lash applications are included in our prices. We ensure that every aspect of your makeup, including lashes, complements your look perfectly.

What are the travel costs for your services?

Travel within 10 miles of our base is included in our prices. For distances beyond this, we charge 0.50p per mile. Please note that parking charges at your chosen venue, if any, are also applicable.

Do you provide services for weddings at distant venues?

Yes, we are happy to travel to distant venues. For locations more than 2 hours away, we request overnight accommodation to be arranged for the night before the wedding.

How do you handle hair and makeup for large bridal parties?

For larger bridal parties, we can organize additional assistants to ensure everyone receives personalized and timely service. This is planned during the trial phase to ensure smooth execution on the wedding day.

Can you accommodate last-minute bookings?

We strive to accommodate last-minute bookings depending on our availability. We recommend reaching out as soon as possible to check our schedule and discuss your needs.

How do you ensure the chosen hair and makeup style suits the bride?

We take into account the bride's personal style, wedding theme, and preferences. Our extensive experience allows us to advise on styles that would best suit the bride’s features and the overall wedding aesthetics.

How do you manage time on the wedding day for hair and makeup?

We create a detailed schedule in advance, ensuring that each person knows when to be in the hair and makeup chair. This helps in managing time efficiently and keeping the morning relaxed and enjoyable.

What measures do you take for hygiene and safety?

We adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Our tools are sanitized between uses, and we follow all necessary safety protocols to ensure the well-being of our clients.
