I cannot rate Freya highly enough. Honestly.
She is so much more than just a bridal makeup artist. With all her years of experience working in London and doing hair and makeup on shoots for massive brands like Burberry and Boohoo, her bridal portfolio doesn't do her justice at all! If you're looking at booking Freya for your wedding I'd recommend also looking at her hair and makeup portfolio aside from her BridalGroom page.
On the day and during my trial, her experience in not just the wedding industry REALLY showed. She didn't just know how to make someone look 'bridal' by doing the same makeup every other bride would have, she was able to really make me look as much 'me' as possible but to bring a bridal vibe to it. Her skills in doing hair are just as impressive as the makeup side. She did myself, my sister and a bridesmaid on my wedding day and everyone got EXACTLY what they asked for plus more. She goes above and beyond to make sure if something isn't right that she'll tweak it until you're happy. On the morning of my wedding there were 7 of us to have hair and makeup done and we fell behind time wise but surrounded by all of the stress of things going wrong, Freya was the calm who made sure whatever needed doing was done.
She even went above and beyond and covered up some marks on my husband granddad's head between bridesmaids. Price-wise, I would have paid more for Freya than any other bridal makeup artist that charges the earth, yet Freya is so reasonably priced. As a person, she's exactly the sort of person you want to be around on the morning of your wedding. From 8am to 1pm she didn't stop not only doing hair and makeup amazingly but chatting to the whole bridal party. It really felt as though we'd all known her forever!
I'd definitely recommend having a trial with Freya as it is a less time pressured session to really work out what you like and what you don't like. After my trial I had decided on a few things I wanted changed for the day and even up to the last minute on the day Freya was able to change what she was doing if I asked her to. When she handed me the mirror to look at my makeup my jaw dropped and she said 'Oh no - is it too much?' and I just said 'No. I absolutely love it. Wow!'. I couldn't believe how beautiful she made me feel. We were running so behind that I had to rush off to get my dress on and just before my dad came to get me to walk me down the aisle Freya showed up with some last minute brushes and powders just to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted before I headed down to the ceremony. If I could give Freya 6 stars I would.

Freya made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and was such a lovely, calm person to be around! She captured exactly what I imagined for my hair/ makeup and I was absolutely delighted! I had quite a lot of people getting ready with me so it could have easily been chaos! Freya organised for two extra hair/makeup artist to join her on the day, which made the timings loads easier as we all had lots of time to feel relaxed. It was also much less stressful for me as Freya did all the organising! Lara and Jess were fantastic too they made all my bridesmaids look and feel fantastic! I would definitely recommend BridalGroom to any other brides, Freya is absolutely amazing and so talented!
Freya is a highly skilled hair and make-up artist, and was an essential part of my wedding day in September. With five ladies to prepare, Freya arranged for Jess to also come and support us and make us look and feel absolutely beautiful. The make-up and hair were absolutely stunning and long-lasting into the early hours, after hours of dancing and celebration! Freya is friendly, fun and very calm, we had a lovely morning getting ready for the day and we all felt very relaxed. Prior to the wedding day, I was able to have a hair and makeup trial and discuss all of the options for myself and my bridesmaids, allowing everyone to have their own individual and beautiful look. I was lucky enough for the lovely Freya to do my wedding make up for me. I was very impressed, she did such a good job I didn’t recognise myself. She was friendly and reliable and made me feel at ease on my big day. I was so grateful, she did a beautiful job which added to my day and made it the best day ever. I can highly recommend Freya - she was so friendly and caring and really did the most amazing job on my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She asked for my thoughts and wishes and made them all come true! She worked so hard and was so helpful and kept in touch in the weeks leading up to the wedding making sure she could also be prepared for doing our 4 bridesmaids hair as well. I never thought my hair could look as nice as she made it and she was so knowledgeable about makeup and again did the most amazing job. I would happily recommend her talent and would love to have my hair and make up done again by her in a heartbeat!

Freya is lovely! I contacted Freya only a few weeks before my wedding, she was able to fit me with a trial and then came to my venue on the day. She was friendly and chatty and really put myself and party at ease. She did not only my make up but my bridesmaids as well and did everything in a timely manner making sure we were both happy with everything and asking what we both wanted. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Freya again or recommend her to someone needing a make up artist!
Amazing wedding hair!! Freya was incredible! At my trial we tried various styles similar to the ones I had in mind, until we found the perfect one! She listened to what I liked and didn't like about my hair and adapted really well. We brought the wedding forward due to increasing restrictions and she was really accommodating to this, switching the date and time for us. Whenever I had questions or ideas I could just email Freya and she would reply really quickly. Freya was friendly and really nice to have there on my wedding day. My bridesmaids all have very different styles and wanted different things done for their hair and she was able to adapt and come up with ideas for each. Also as I was getting married during the pandemic, cleanliness and hygiene were really important to me. Freya used a mask at all times where she wasn't socially distanced and used hand sanitiser when necessary.
I had an amazing day and felt gorgeous on my special day, partly due to my beautiful hair.

Where to begin. This is late review but deserves to be told. Ladies it’s your big day and your looking for a hair and make up artist look no further and the lovely Freya! I got married back in March and had a hair and make up trial which was just amazing. Freya not only gave me a feel on what my hair and make up would be like. But this lady knows her stuff. She gave me the most useful skin and hair tips too. Then it comes to the wedding day Freya did an incredible job for my wedding party and there was a few of us!
Freya is some you can rely on to do a great job but also someone who has a kind heart and the most calmest when things get busy on the day. A whole hearted thank you to Freya 💕
